A mild tasting floral fruit tea. The white tea and rooibos are perfectly balanced with the jasmine pearls, which is a big flavour profile on its own. Papaya and peach star in this tea along with the strawberry giving it a palatable tartness. The floral notes are perfect and calming. I’ve dubbed this tea a perfect “granny” tea, since I’m reminded of a sweet elderly lady sitting in her summer garden offering me this exact tea! Sweetened, this tea gives off way more fruit flavours akin to blueberry and peach. The florals are wonderful. This is just a fantastic, simple yet complex tea for a simple, care free day! One of my favourites iced!

Spice of Life by Teavana

Ingredients: Citrus peels, almond bits, white tea, pistacio kernels, coriander, pepper, natural & artificial flavoring

An instant light citrus taste that covers the tongue with a pleasant sweetness. A great woodiness and savory quality from the coriander. Overall this tea is such a pleasant, simple and calming white citrus tea!


Peach Tranquility by Teavana

Ingredients: Apple pieces, candied pineapple pieces, rosehip peels, peach pieces, peach pieces, artificial flavoring, chamomile flowers, lemon verbena

This tea has somewhat changed from the 2012 stock, but it’s still fantastic! Tart with a clean citrus “bite”, mostly from the verbena and pineapple. There is a distinctive earthy, almost woodlike taste to this tea, which I love.

The newer version is not as sweet and floral as last year. There is an obvious difference between the two but it’s still great! Iced this tea is the bees knees! I can’t get enough of that, rich, thick, sticky peach nectar quality when it’s steeped for a good hour or more!

I’ve mixed this with a great quality black tea such as Golden Monkey and its just like a Peach Snapple (without all those crazy sugars and additives!)

Very Berry White by Teavana

Ingredients: Hibiscus flowers, elderberries, white tea, grapes, natural & artificial flavoring, black currants, blueberries.

Quite acidic and tart. This tea tastes just like hot berry compote on pancakes! overall a nice berry flavour, but I think the hibiscus gives it too much tartness for my liking, and it overpowers that great Mao Feng!

Iced this tea reminds me of a refreshing berry water in the late summer.

Earl of Anxi by Verdant Tea

Ingredients: Autumn Harvest Tieguanyin, Organic Orange Peel, Organic Jasmine, Wildcrafted Frankincense Resin, Organic Goji Berry, Organic Saffron

So far this will be my longest log, and you will read why!

This is the first of many teas from the extremely creative team at Verdant Tea. I’ve been more than anxious and excited to try this particular unique blend of interesting, exotic ingredients. This has been my first ever Frankincense experience!

First sip is an instant explosion of a quality oolong tea. By far the smoothest and cleanest Tieguanyin I’ve yet tasted. There is a definitive taste of citrus, mainly orange, and jasmine with a pleasant hint of an oily, woodsy note that I can only assume is the Frankincense! Right now I would be perfectly content with drinking this tea for the rest of my days but, alas, I have another few hundred or so to go! This tea was so good, I ended up purchasing 300g and it is also my first 100/100! Second and third steeps really bring out a earthy vegetal note with a lingering sweet cedar like taste! Absolutely delicious!

Cucumber Mint by Tea Forte Ingredients: Green tea, Spearmint leaves, Marigold flowers, natural blueberry flavor, organic basil leaves, natural cucumber flavor, organic blueberries Got this super marked down at Indigo, and boy am I glad! A sweet minty hit with a great spicy, herbal note from the Basil. The cucumber is only but a whisper, however there is a mellowness to this tea. The sweet/tart of the blueberry is a great added touch! Overall a refreshing tea that I cannot wait to try iced! *Picture not taken by me, used from the Tea Forte website

Watermelon Mint Chiller by Teavana

Ingredients: White tea, cantaloupe melon pieces, candied pineapple pieces, candied papaya pieces, hibiscus flowers, apple pieces, natural & artificial flavoring, lemongrass, honeydew melon pieces, blackberries, tangerine pieces, pineapple chips, eucalyptus leaves, raspberries, raspberry pieces, lime pieces.

Bright and light melon flavour with an herbal/menthol undertone and a hint of lime zest. Reminds me of watermelon Hubba Bubba bubble gum when I was a kid, in the best way! This tea is wonderful iced! Beautiful and refreshing, a perfect blend that I would be happy drinking all day long in the summer heat!

Spiced Mandarin Oolong by Teavana Ingredients: Dark oolong, cinnamon, hibiscus flowers, apple bits, carob bits, ginger, natural & artificial flavoring, citrus slices, orange juice bits, pepper, tangerine pieces, ginger slices, candied tangerine bits, cardamom, star anise, cardamom seeds, cloves, allspice. This tea is an unusual one, there is a spicy, almost curry like flavour to this tea. A heavy citrus taste and quite the acidic bite that isn’t too pleasant! Overall this oolong is intriguing, but not my favourite!

This tea is an unusual one, there is a spicy, almost curry like flavour to this tea. A heavy citrus taste and quite the acidic bite that isn’t too pleasant! Overall this oolong is intriguing, but not my favourite!

Wonderful fruit and my favourite floral tones with a clean, bright green tea taste. This tea reminds me of really good quality Turkish Delight or candy apples! A little astringent/perfumy but overall a very pleasant tea!

Pumpkin Chai by David’s Tea Ingredients: Black tea, cinnamon, cloves, lemon peel, squash, carrot, caramel bits, pumpkin candies, natural and artificial flavouring Sweet and light with a slight spicy note that doesn’t linger long. Definite squash/pumpkin notes. This tea was a little bland, but from other reviews, I’m convinced that I need to steep it longer. After doing so it was over steeped, unfortunately getting the right taste from this tea was too much of a hassle!
